Our House!

Here it is!! It's not too much to look at right now, BUT in a couple of months this house will look totally different!! I have other pictures of the inside on Facebook. Let me just tell you what all we are planning on doing.
-The brick will be replaced with Stone
-New Windows throughout the entire house
-a single Garage door
-The front living room will become the dining room....we will be putting a wall in with an arch way into the dining room, and redoing the floor and adding a chair rail.
-Kitchen will be getting new countertops, new paint on the cabinets, new appliances
-Carsons room will get a new window and new paint
-Guest bedroom will get 2 new windows and new paint
-bathroom will be a little smaller and get new cabinets, countertop and sink, bathtub, tile, and flooring
-The master bedroom will be brought out 10 ft and will be getting new flooring, big closets, and a completely new bathroom.
-Living room was wood panel and we took that down and it will get new flooring and new paint. The fireplace will become a corner one made out of stone to match the front of the house.
This is a huge list of things to do! We have already started and have our privacy fence up. I think once we get everything ordered this will get done pretty quickly! In the mean time Zack's uncle will be living with us. He is working so hard on the house and we really appreciate him coming to town to help us out. Hopefully Carson will get here before he leaves at the end of July. He really wants to see him.
On another note: My husband it quite the worker! He has been putting in 12 hour days at the house working on things. I don't think that I have ever seen him as dirty as he has been the past couple of days! He loves power tools as well. (That kind of makes me nervous) He used a chainsaw the other day and I had to remind him that he would need all 10 fingers to change diapers! He is doing such an amazing job and I am so proud of him. I really think that he will be proud of himself once the project is done!

We FINALLY have a HOUSE!!!

We have found a house......after about a month and a half of disappointments we have found OUR house! We close on the house Monday at 10:00!! You don't know how excited I am to have found something and know we won't be homeless July 9th! (That was the date we had to be out of the duplex). The house was built in 1959....BUT we are going to pretty much redo the ENTIRE thing! Can you say CRAZY! I think it hasn't really hit home. We won't be settled when Carson arrives. We will be living in a construction zone! Some days I wonder if I have totally lost my mind, on those days I talk to Zack about things and he reminds me that this is going to be our MINI dream home. We are going to take before, during, and after pictures and I will def post them. The house is in Woodway and I love that it is close to my parents house. I have to say that my FAV thing about the house are the trees! We have two HUGE pecan trees and a magnolia tree all in the front. Then he back yard has several trees as well. We are going to have young kids living next door and across the street. They are 6 months to 3 years old! Carson will def have some playmates! I'm just so excited I can't wait to get things started. The next few months will be a test of patients and will. I pray everyday that Zack and I can make it through this remodel and Carson coming. I think if we can make it through this we can make it through ANYTHING!! Pictures of the house will be coming soon. We are going over tomorrow to take some!

Pregnancy

Zack and I have been taking a childbirth class the last 5 weeks. The very first night they asked us what we like most about being pregnant and I really couldn't answer that question. It took me a little while to decide on something. I have spent this whole pregnancy so excited about having this baby boy, but not loving being pregnant. I've talked to so many people who just LOVE being pregnant. I have decided I don't LOVE it, but I do like it. Here are some things that I like about being pregnant and that I'm going to miss.

*Zack talking to Carson with his head on my belly.
*Feeling Carson moving all around (Even though the last couple of weeks he has decided to only move at night)
*Laying in bed at night and watching Carson move from one side to the other. It totally freaks Zack out!

I can't believe that I'm almost done and once Carson gets here I will never be able to feel him inside of me again. I spend my days and nights dreaming of what this little boy is going to look like and wondering what his little personality will be like. I'm so ready to meet this little boy and finally get to hold him. His due date can't come soon enough!

Kids are GONE!!

Today was my last day to have kids on campus! We only had them for a half a day (which I think is pointless). We went to watch all of the kids load up for the summer. That was the best part. There were many kids that were so excited they could hardly sit still and then there were those kids that we sad and crying. It truly broke my heart to see or hear of those kids being so upset about having to go home for the summer. BUT if you think about it, they are going home and may not get to see any of their friends, they might not get to do anything fun, and they may just not have a very good home life in general. For some of those kids the teacher's were more like parents. With this in mind we have A LOT of fun at the end of the year. If the kids reach their AR goals we have water slide day! (I had a blast last year, but was informed I was not allowed to climb on any slides this year).

On a sad note, as all of the teachers were checking out of school today....(not to return until end of August)...Kristin and I thought about how we had to be back at work on Monday! I have to work until the 19th! Pretty much I'm going to be packing a room and trying to make the packing a very LONG process so I don't have to do anything else. I'm sure by the end of these next two weeks I will def be ready to relax until Carson comes.

OH YEA!! I had a surprise baby shower at work on Tuesday. All of the Special Ed girls that I work with and for told me we were having our end of the year lunch so we could all get together one last time before everyone left, BUT it was my shower. Let me just tell you that I have never had a surprise party....I was SO excited and surprised as well!! It was a lot of fun and I'm so thankful to all of them for doing that for Carson and I.

One more thing, if one more person tells me how big I am and that there is no way that I'm going to make it to my due date I might scream or better yet they might get knocked out. I don't mind the whole not making it to my due date....believe me I would rather NOT make it to my due date. BUT I can't stand when people are shocked at how big I am. I feel like this growth spurt has just happened. I think that Carson is going to be a very big boy! Hopefully not too big!!
