First Boo Boo

I came home from work today and my boys were in bed napping. I went in and gave Zack a kiss and he told me that Carcar had bonked his head on the floor while I was on my way home. He told me that he didn't have a knot or anything and he had cried for about 10 mins then went to sleep. Of course I'm thinking about a concussion and how you aren't suppose to let them sleep. I let both of them sleep and Car woke up about an hour later. Zack brought him into the living room and a HUGE knot had come up while he was sleeping and it was already purple. I wanted to take him somewhere so a Doctor could look at him. Zack was willing to do whatever I thought we needed to do. SO......I called Mimi, she came by and looked at him and said that it was good that the goose egg had popped up. She told me that we didn't need to take him to the hospital and that she would call a family friend who was a physician to see what he said. He told my mom the same thing that she told us. Once I knew my baby was okay it was time to document the for real boo boo. He was enjoying his little photo shoot! Speaking of photo shoots......we were suppose to be getting family pictures made this weekend, but I called and canceled. Didn't think Carson's huge goose egg would be good for pictures. Mom said that the knot might look better tomorrow, but the bruise should be worse. SO, needless to say our first Easter pictures will be some to remember. My camera doesn't give this gorgeous goose egg justice!!!

One Year ago today!!!

One year ago today we found out that we were having our sweet little boy!! I can't believe he is 7 months old now! Time has really flown by.....He cut his first tooth yesterday!!! You can't see it yet, but it's there and it's sharp!! Heading to Florida tomorrow for a MUCH needed VACA!!!

Fast update

These past two weeks have been kind of crazy around here. There have been a lot of things going on in our family. Caitlin has been extremely busy with sorority stuff......(She is the newest T-shirt Chair) and work just seems unbareable at times for me. Zack and I have started going to a Sunday School class at our church and are really enjoying it. We didn't get to go this weekend bc we went down to San Antonio to spend time with my brother and his wife. We went down Thursday night and got to spend a little bit of time together before the boys hit the road for the deer lease. Jessica and I got to spend some quality time together, which we NEVER get to do. It was really nice to go down there and just veg for a little while. We took Carson to the Zoo and The Alamo. We really enjoyed getting to spend time with Jessica. I know that Jess reads my blog every now and then and I hope that she doesn't kill me, BUT..... Let me just brag on her and my brother for a little while. The day of my Dad's party my brother was laid off. Yes, you read that correctly. I just didn't believe our economy was so bad until something happens like this to someone that you love. It was a shock for ALL of us. I honestly don't know what I would do if something like that happened to Zack and I. I know that we would get through it, but I just don't know if we could handle it as well as they have. They are both such strong people and are able to be strong for each other. I have seen a side of both of them these past couple of weeks that I admire. Blake was SO strong for Jess in the beginning and Jess was then strong for him later in the week. They have truly shown me what a great marriage looks like. They are living it everyday. I honestly believe that people are made for each other and they are the perfect example. I thank God that my brother found such a strong and loving women to be my sister in law! I love them both to pieces!! SO needless to say our girls/guys weekend was much needed! I will upload pics later.

Pop is 50!!!

My dad is turning 50 on Weds. We had a small get together for him on Friday. It was pirate themed because for some reason my Dad loves pirates. It was a lot of fun. Blake and Jess came in and we all had a great weekend together. Saturday and Sunday consisted of Baylor basketball...and a marathon of Prison Break. Here are a couple of pictures from the party

First Hair Cut

Carson got his first hair cut about a month ago. He did really well. I got tired of people asking me if he was a girl or a boy when he was wearing all of his Christmas attire. SO....We got a hair cut. He is such a handsome little boy!!
Carson started sitting up by himself a couple of weeks ago. He still has his moments when he falls, but for the most part he has it down. He now officially can roll over both ways, but HATES to roll from his stomach to his back. He is extremely spoiled and has his daddy wrapped around his finger. We are loving being a family of 3 and are looking forward to the many more changes that will happen in the next couple of months.

Wow, I have really let myself get really far behind on this blog. Things have been crazy. We are still living with my parents, but hopefully that will change over the Christmas break. The house looks amazing. I'm going to be so excited to see Carson's nursery all decorated and him actually have a bed to sleep in. Poor baby has been sleeping in his pack and play the last few weeks. He turned 4 months of the 4th. I can't believe he is growing so fast. He is 18 pounds and 28 inches long. (I know he is going to be a giant) He is the sweetest and happiest little boy. He has started eating baby food. I honestly don't think there is anything that he doesn't like. We started him on Formula yesterday. I was a little sad to stop nursing, but I'm glad that he is the one who decided that he didn't want to do it anymore. I will try to upload more photos later.

Wow this past weekend was CRAZY busy! Thursday we drove to San Antonio to pick up my sister in law. She was going to come back to Waco with us on Friday so we could watch my little sister in pigskin. Blake wasn't suppose to come home until very late Friday night. We got to San Antonio and Blake had called and said he was going to catch an early flights....SO we all drove back Friday together. Friday night Carson put on his bear costume and took some pictures and then changed into his pirate sleeper bc we were heading to the Midway game and then to Baylor for Pigskin.

Saturday we woke up early for the Parade. Carson put his bear outfit back on and this time put a Baylor shirt on over it. He was the CUTEST little boy there. I'm a little biased, but I promise you at least 30 people stopped us and told us how adorable he was. We came home from the parade and got ready for the game. Carson put on his outfit that his Mimi had made him for Baylor's homecoming. Once again he was ADORABLE!! Baylor played a tough game, but just couldn't pull it out in the end.

Sunday Zack and I went to Sunday school for the first time. We left Carson with someone other than my mom for the first time as well. I was very surprised when we arrived and there were only 5 babies including Carson in the baby room. I was relieved bc there were 4 Adults! We tried the Young Adults 1 class. We knew that they were going to be a little older than us, but that is the class with young kids. It was a good lesson and we really enjoyed it. HOWEVER they were quite a bit older and I think we are going to try the younger married class on Sunday.

Everyone knows what happened on Tuesday. I have come to terms with everything and can only pray that God leads our country during this time.

NEWS about the HOUSE!!! Our wood floors are IN!!! They are BEAUTIFUL!! I can't wait to go take pictures. Pretty much all that is left in carpet for the guest room and Carson's room, plumbling fixtures, countertops, appliance installation, and paint touch ups!!!
