Football Season is now officially over. Carson went to every home game and did really well. The last few games were at 11:00 which made it tough on our afternoon nap, but he was a trooper. We love our Baylor Bears and will support them through thick and thin. We bought season tickets this year with the hopes of a bowl game. We didn't quite make it this year, but we are being true fans when we say "It WILL happen next year" You have to love the school you went to. It always bugs me when people talk bad about the University they attended. So until next year...........
We have gotten to know our neighbors pretty well the last couple of months. It's sad that it has taken this long for us to get the kids together, but at least we have done it and had a great time. I'm going to blame it on the construction that took so long on our house. Anyways, this is Harper she is Carson's friend from down the street. HP can hang with the boys. She is one tough cookie. She has to be with the beast that is Carson. I have known her dad for a long time, but have really enjoyed getting to know his wife. It's fun to be able to walk to your friend's house again. It's just like when I was younger. As you can see they are a mess together.

Sweet Summer Time!!
My dad let Carson wear "Golden Boy" for the first time. We were all shocked. You see this t-shirt has been a prized possession of my dad's for a few years now. He has HUGE holes everywhere.

New J-O-B!!
Last Wednesday I resigned from my position at Hillsboro ISD. I am going to miss the people that I work with so much, but I am moving on to a new and exciting position. As most of you know I was going to get my teaching certificate because I didn't think that I would be able to find a speech position in Waco.....I went from having no job offers on Tuesday to having 2 offers by Wednesday and by Thursday I had 3! I had completely put a speech position out of my head. You see I applied for my dream job in March. I hadn't heard anything and I was positive that it was not an option. Little did I know I would be offered this position on Thursday. So I said goodbye to the Hillsboro Eagles.....
And will be saying hello to the Midway Panthers in August!!! I can't tell you how excited I am to be going back "home"! I will be closer to Carson and getting off I-35 is such a blessing. Looks like I will be pulling out some of my old Midway shirts to wear on jean/tshirt Fridays!

Sick Baby
My little man is sick. He started running a fever last night and it got up to 103.7. I called the doctor and they said to put him in a cool bath or put cool wash clothes on him to try to get his temp down. We tried to put him in his crib, but he woke up around 12. We just went ahead and put him in our bed and woke up with him every 30 minutes. He would sleep for 30 minutes then wake up crying. This pattern continued all night. I called mom and dad this morning at 6:20 to see if they would take him early today bc neither Z nor I could get ready this morning with the way he was crying. I came home got ready (I had to look nice this morning bc I have in interview at 4:00) and went to work. On my way in I called the doctor and they wanted to see Carson. His ears/throat were clear so Dr. H. wanted to do a blood test on him to check everything. Nothing showed up on his blood test. The doctor said there were a couple of viruses going around lately and that if he got worse today to bring him in tomorrow morning. I'm really praying he feels better bc Z and I have to work tomorrow morning and my mom will be out of town with my grandfather for his surgery. Please pray that he is feeling better and pray for Z as well. He has him all day today and tomorrow after the bank by himself.
On another note....I believe C is trying to cut all four of his top teeth at once. Could this be the culprit of his crying and fever???? We shall see.....Anyone have any experience with teething like this???

Aunt Caitlin is heading to Spain....
This is the face that Carson made when I told him that his Aunt Caitlin was going to Spain! He already misses her like CRAZY! He told me to write her a note from him.
Dear Aunt Caitlin,
I miss you like crazy. I love you more that I love water. Have fun, but not too much fun. I can't wait to see you on the computer! Love you Aunt Caitlin!
Love CarCar
Caitlin is the best person with Carson. As soon as he sees her he is all smiles! I am so excited for her, but I'm sad I won't get to see her for over a month.
Have fun my sweet little sister....Don't forget about us in the U.S. while you are living it up in Spain! Take lots of pictures! You have been slacking in that department lately. I love you and miss you already!!

You cannot believe how excited this makes me. They will be bringing their baby home sometime around November 13! What a wonderful Thanksgiving they will have! Praise God for answered prayers!!

We're Off
Carson and I are off to a family reunion! We will be back late Sunday. Zack isn't getting to go because he is such a nice boss and took one of his employees shifts. You might be wondering why I have a picture of this HUGE pig up.....Well Tilly the pig is also part of the family and I'm excited that Carson gets to see him this year.

An exciting day!
Today was a very exciting day at one of my campuses. I spoke with one of the teachers at great length a few months ago about her daughter and the problems that her and her husband were facing with infertility. This couple has been trying for 4+ years to have a baby. They have been through everything that comes along with infertility. They have been through hormones, IUI's and IVF. The IVF was successful once but she lost the baby soon after the procedure was confirmed. They did some more testing and found out that her husband was not going to be able to produce a baby. They went through a time of grief and confusion. He told her that he would understand if she wanted to separate. He wanted her to be a mom more than anything. She brought up the adoption issue, her husband quickly shut that door. He told her that he didn't want to adopt. A few months went by and her husband started to have a change of heart. He wanted to be a Dad just as much as she wanted to be someones Mom. He came to her one evening and had all of the information on an adoption agency. He had already contacted them and started the necessary procedures to get the ball rolling. A couple of weeks later they were hosting an adoption agent at their home. They got the phone call and everything was ready to go. They were going to FINALLY be parents. The agent told them that he has never had an adoption case last more than a year. SO....in a year or less they are going to have their little bundle of joy!! As I stood on the playground listening to this new proud grandmother tell me this story I had tears come to my eyes. She and I jumped up and down and hugged. You would have thought she had just won the lottery and in a way she did. She is going to be a new grandmother to a baby that desperately needs these parents. They are going to be able to give this baby so much love it's unreal. She was telling me that they probably won't know what sex the baby is until it is born. The agency they are going through really encourages the birth moms to not find out what they are having because it makes it easier when the time comes for the baby to go home with the adoptive parents. I hugged this teacher again and told her that she better spoil that baby rotten. She informed me that it had already been taken care of! The power of prayer is an amazing thing. We have been praying that God would bless them with a baby and he has! Now we just need to pray that God will find a woman who loves this couple so much that she would give them the ultimate gift.

National Infertility Awareness Week
I wanted to post on this issue and let everyone know that it is National Infertility Awareness Week. Many women are affected by infertility. I am willing to bet that there is someone you know that is going through this. For me it is my friend Tiffany. She and her husband have been trying for over 3 years to have a baby. They are going to be amazing parents someday and I know that that their day will come. I'm hoping and praying that it comes very soon. You should check out her blog www.thepiferfamily.blogspot.com She is posting on issues that have to do with infertility everyday this week.

Goodbye G6
Goodbye G6....I have enjoyed having you around, but it is time for me to move on to bigger and better things. I am saying my final goodbye to my car tomorrow. I'm kind of sad, but mostly happy. Hopefully I will find a car that I LOVE and can't live without. We have narrowed it down to an Equinox and a Malibu. I will make my decision tomorrow and hopefully come home with a new car, or have ordered one. Any advice is much needed. Which one should I get.......AND I'm NOT getting red no matter what. My family doesn't think I can do it, but I'm going black or white!!

Where has time gone???
Where has the time gone? I feel like yesterday we were driving to the hospital. He is 8 months old now and is ALL over the place! He has mastered the crawl and is trying to pull up on things. He can even crawl on the wood floors now. He thinks it's hilarious! I was eating lunch today and there was a baby that was so tiny and I just sat there and I honestly couldn't remember Carson being that little (maybe he wasn't that little...we all know he was a beast, but you know what I mean). It made me a little sad, but then I thought about his cute little personality and how he is so proud of himself when he crawls. Say a prayer for us while we really start baby proofing our house! He has become MOBILE!!!!

Fast update
These past two weeks have been kind of crazy around here. There have been a lot of things going on in our family. Caitlin has been extremely busy with sorority stuff......(She is the newest T-shirt Chair) and work just seems unbareable at times for me. Zack and I have started going to a Sunday School class at our church and are really enjoying it. We didn't get to go this weekend bc we went down to San Antonio to spend time with my brother and his wife. We went down Thursday night and got to spend a little bit of time together before the boys hit the road for the deer lease. Jessica and I got to spend some quality time together, which we NEVER get to do. It was really nice to go down there and just veg for a little while. We took Carson to the Zoo and The Alamo. We really enjoyed getting to spend time with Jessica. I know that Jess reads my blog every now and then and I hope that she doesn't kill me, BUT..... Let me just brag on her and my brother for a little while. The day of my Dad's party my brother was laid off. Yes, you read that correctly. I just didn't believe our economy was so bad until something happens like this to someone that you love. It was a shock for ALL of us. I honestly don't know what I would do if something like that happened to Zack and I. I know that we would get through it, but I just don't know if we could handle it as well as they have. They are both such strong people and are able to be strong for each other. I have seen a side of both of them these past couple of weeks that I admire. Blake was SO strong for Jess in the beginning and Jess was then strong for him later in the week. They have truly shown me what a great marriage looks like. They are living it everyday. I honestly believe that people are made for each other and they are the perfect example. I thank God that my brother found such a strong and loving women to be my sister in law! I love them both to pieces!! SO needless to say our girls/guys weekend was much needed! I will upload pics later.

Pop is 50!!!
My dad is turning 50 on Weds. We had a small get together for him on Friday. It was pirate themed because for some reason my Dad loves pirates. It was a lot of fun. Blake and Jess came in and we all had a great weekend together. Saturday and Sunday consisted of Baylor basketball...and a marathon of Prison Break. Here are a couple of pictures from the party

First Hair Cut
Carson got his first hair cut about a month ago. He did really well. I got tired of people asking me if he was a girl or a boy when he was wearing all of his Christmas attire. SO....We got a hair cut. He is such a handsome little boy!!
Carson started sitting up by himself a couple of weeks ago. He still has his moments when he falls, but for the most part he has it down. He now officially can roll over both ways, but HATES to roll from his stomach to his back. He is extremely spoiled and has his daddy wrapped around his finger. We are loving being a family of 3 and are looking forward to the many more changes that will happen in the next couple of months.
